At Associated Medical Practice, we believe in making the process of obtaining quality healthcare as easy and efficient as possible. We provide great care for patients of all ages in a welcoming environment where your time is respected.
To us, family medicine means both the traditional medical practices in caring for all aspects of your health, including diagnosis and treatment of illness or injury, chronic disease management, patient education, and prevention.
It is our goal to provide our patients with convenient access to high-quality medical care when they need it most. Our services are designed to help you stay healthy, get well sooner if you’re not feeling well, or return to health after an injury or surgery. And with our urgent care services available around the clock, no matter what your needs are—whether it’s something more than simple advice provided by telephone consultations or prescriptions dispensed at our walk-in.

If you think someone may be having a stroke, act F.A.S.T. and do the following test:
F—Face: Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?
A—Arms: Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
S—Speech: Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?
T—Time: If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 right away.
Note the time when any symptoms first appear. This information helps health care providers determine the best treatment for each person.
Do not drive to the hospital or let someone else drive you. Call 9-1-1 for an ambulance so that medical personnel can begin life-saving treatment on the way to the emergency room.

LIVER DISEASE and WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW! ...
COMMON COLD 🤧
A cold is a mild viral infection of the nose, throat, sinuses and upper airways. It`s very common and usually clears up on its own within a week or two.
The main symptoms of a cold include: ‼️
a sore throat
a blocked or runny nose
sneezing
a cough
There`s no cure for a cold, but you can look after yourself at home by:
Resting, drinking plenty of fluids and eating healthily
Taking over-the-counter painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, to reduce any fever or discomfort 💊
Using decongestant sprays or tablets to relieve a blocked nose 👃🏽
Trying remedies such as gargling salt water and sucking on menthol sweets 🍃🍬
Many painkillers and decongestants are available from pharmacies without a prescription. They`re generally safe for older children and adults to take, but might not be suitable for babies, young children, pregnant women, people with certain underlying health conditions, and those taking certain other medications. Speak to a pharmacist if you`re unsure. 👨🏾⚕️
Contact your GP if: 🏥
Your symptoms persist for more than three weeks
Your symptoms get suddenly worse
You have breathing difficulties
You develop complications of a cold, such as chest pain or coughing up bloodstained mucus.
